UK Round Up 2019Location: Flipout, Wandsworth, UK

Event Information

Inexplicably, the UK Round Up returned for its fifth consecutive year, welcoming professional and amateur freestyle skaters from four countries. The event was the best-attended UK freestyle contest for more than 10 years, with 13 freestylers in attendance.

For the first time, the event was relocated from its typical location at the Redbridge Cycling Centre due to fears of poor weather, with Aaron Watts arranging the new location at short notice.

The event, well-known as a parody of the World Round Up, is renowned for its free water, with this year’s event being enhanced with free tea and coffee, courtesy of Kimber Skatepark, where the after part took place. The event was also the first recorded contest in the world to welcome an animal contestant, with a pigeon claiming the 14th position.
