Should you ever find yourself in the Lake District, Northern England, I implore you steal yourself away from the luscious forests and beautiful lakes and find your way to a little town called Penrith.
Penrith could well be the rainy capital of the UK, but it is a wonderful town bursting with charm and character, whilst also being home to one of the UK’s finest freestylers; the elusive Scaife Gooch.
Scaife Gooch has been part of the UK freestyle scene for several years now, skating demos and contests, most recently placing 5th in the 2011 UK Championships at the NASS Festival whilst under the influence of a bottle of whisky and a crate of Relentless.
I recently took the trip up north to find, skate and drink with the man on his home turf and get some of his incredibly unique and technical tricks on film. 6 hours of skating, 3 games of pool and 16 drinks later, here’s the footage we walked away with.
