The first Japanese freestyle contest of the year (as the scheduled first contest was cancelled due to low turnout) took place in at the Aeon Mall in Hamamatsu City in Shizuoka on 20th April. The pro and amateur divisions had 90-second runs. Sponsors included Murasaki Sports, Powell Peralta, Flip, Independent, Ricta Wheels, Gekko, Waltz, m80 and FScom.
